DESCRIPTION

The CHCSS00128 High Support and Complex Care – Disability Support Skill Set assists professionals to support people with complex care needs in a disability environment. This skill set is designed and developed to learn about assessing healthy body systems, using augmentative communication methods, developing person-centred services, providing specialised personal support, delivering complex care, and assisting with medication, using a person-centred practice. Once completing this skill set you will be able to provide tailored, detailed individualised care with kindness and attention. This skill set is appropriate to enhance your career in the disability support sector and enhance your pathway to further study into higher and advanced qualifications in the CHC Community Services sector.

Additional Requirements

Student must be an Existing Worker in the Disability services sector, which includes parents and unpaid carers of NDIS participants. Students must already hold a Certificate III or higher level qualification in the Community Services and Health industry.
