The CHCSS00129 Individual Support – Ageing Skill Set provides community service and health professional with critical skills used to provide caring, person-centred support for older Australians. The skill set contains a unit raising support strategies for individuals living with dementia, unit promoting aged care service delivery, unit promoting client empowerment, unit providing person-centred care, unit covering palliative approaches to care, all provided through a care plan. Once you complete the following five units increase your ability to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing among older Australians in aged care whilst receiving credit towards the higher level CHC Community Services qualifications. As such it is suitable for anyone wishing to up skill to advance to the next level of aged and community care professions.
